PERSONALITY; Sweet and gentle is a good way to describe Holly. She's your typical girl-next-door gal. Seemingly shy at first, she opens up quickly and becomes quite friendly and sociable. Though it's rare, she will find certain individuals rather frightening and will act quite different around them, clamming up and not speaking as much. She's rather ambitious and will always try to see it to the end with 100% effort and is always ready to help someone out. She adapts to new situations quickly and quietly. It's very easy to read Holly, because she doesn't hide her emotions very well, though she tries a lot harder when it comes to her condition. One would not want to speak about death around Holly, because she's quite accepting of it. The one thing in the world that fires her up is soccer. She instantly perks up at the mention of it, soccer being her only passion in the world, and starts to sound a bit like her sister when she talks about it. BACKGROUND; Born to Harvey and Rebecca Heartford, she grew up in a quiet, suburban area in Massachusetts with her twin sister, Hayley. She led a fairly normal life until she was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension when she was just ten. This limited her strong interest in soccer and she resorted to picking up her failing grades and became an excellent student. When she turned 15, her father enrolled their family in Japanese classes under the guise of family bonding. Soon after, her father announced that they would be moving to Japan for his job. The Heartfords took advantage of the summer to get accustomed to Japan before the twins were enrolled into Gekkoukan High. One night, Hayley stayed out late, itching to find some skate spots and was attacked by a shadow, falling prey to the Apathy Syndrome. As soon as Holly entered her new high school without her sister, she was contacted about her potential. |
